UGC NET June 2026 answer key is now live for 84 subjects
NTA has released the provisional answer-key process for 84 UGC NET June 2026 subjects. Candidates covered by the notice can now view their recorded responses, compare them with the provisional answers and submit online challenges.
The challenge window is open from 16 August to 18 August 2026, up to 11:59 PM. The processing fee is ₹200 per question challenged.
For English, Commerce and Sociology, NTA has indicated that separate subject-specific communication will follow after review of question-paper related complaints.
The waiting stage is over — now your response-sheet analysis matters
The provisional answer-key stage is now active for the 84 subjects covered by the current NTA notice. Candidates should first save their question paper and recorded responses, then compare each official question ID with the provisional answer.
Do not rush into an objection. First verify the question, the exact option and your supporting source.
If you are from English, Commerce or Sociology, follow the separate NTA communication for your subject rather than assuming the same timeline automatically applies.

Turn the answer key into preparation data
Don't only count marks. Separate your errors into concept gaps, factual confusion, calculation mistakes and questions where two options looked similar. If another NET/JRF attempt is needed, that analysis tells you exactly where to restart.
For Environmental Science and Paper 1, Dr. Mukesh Goyal connects concepts with PYQs, wrong-option analysis and structured revision. An answer key can therefore become a diagnostic tool rather than only a score predictor.
What should you do after checking your answer key?
Your probable score is useful, but the pattern of wrong answers is even more useful. Separate your mistakes into concept gaps, revision gaps, option confusion and calculation/reading errors. That tells you whether you actually need to rebuild Paper 1, Environmental Science Paper 2, or both.
Focus on Teaching Aptitude, Research Aptitude, reasoning, DI, ICT and Higher Education instead of restarting your complete Paper 2 syllabus.
Rebuild weak units through concept clarity, PYQs, numericals and structured revision rather than collecting more random resources.
A coordinated Paper 1 + Environmental Science plan can be more efficient than preparing the two papers separately.
Structured printed study material and regular tests may be more useful than adding more lectures.
SWMG currently offers UGC NET Paper 1, Environmental Science Paper 2, a Paper 1 + EVS Combo and printed study material. The idea is not to restart everything blindly, but to choose the support that matches the mistakes revealed by your response sheet.
Preparing for the next UGC NET attempt?
Use your answer-key analysis to decide what you actually need next. SWMG has separate Paper 1 and Environmental Science preparation, a Paper 1 + EVS Combo route, and printed study material for structured revision.
